I've just seen the two first episodes of The Pillars of the Earth, based on the novel by Ken Follett. I loved it. I've always planned to read the book (and world without end), but never got around to do it. Anyway, still planning to do it. This series seems like something I've been waiting for a long time for. Really Really looking forward to the next episode!

Anyone else seen it?

Yup, watched it this morning. Took me four days to finally find a website where I could stream it :irk:

I thought it was very good. The book is one of my favorites so I had high expectations for this. The cast in general was very good, especially Ian McShane. I wasn't sure about them choosing to cast Donald Sutherland, but he plays his part well.

The book takes place across several decades, so I'm looking forward to seeing whether or not they can capture that effect.

One of my all-time favorite books.

My cousin has Starz, the network showing the series here in the States. I'm going to catch up on the series tomorrow night.

Big fan of McShane, looking forward to see how he plays the role.

Quite a tricky one to find on the download, was worth it though. It's on Channel 4 in the UK, not until later this year though.

This website is really good for downloading. If you haven't seen this series yet, I recommend you to download from this link.

It's a torrent file. So first you download a program that enables you to download torrent files. For instance
http://www.bittorrent.com/
or if you use a mac
http://www.transmissionbt.com/

When you've downloaded and installed a torrent program you can go to eztv (or anywhere else you find torrent files) and download them. When you've downloaded the file you open them in the torrent program and your movie, song, or document will be downloaded to your computer.

Pillars of the Earth took a couple of hours to download for me, but it depends on you internet. But believe me, it's good quality.

Another good thing about torrent downloading is that you can switch off your computer and continue the download later if you so wish. For instance I currently download Band of Brothers (the whole series in very good quality) which is a couple of gigabytes, so it takes some time. Luckily I don't need to have my computer running all the time (since I use torrent), and if I need to free my internet for some work I can just choose to continue the download some other time.

Did it help?

Also, on a side note; if you want to watch some sort of tv-series online stream you can see if you can find it here http://www.watch-boston-legal-online.com/Watch-TV-Shows-Online.html I've seen Boston Legal here with very good stream quality.

Thanks Mizu but I'm a technophobie and that's scary!

Parmenion, that would be fantastic! Yes, please! I'll pay in chocolate shall I? Or anything else you would like to have?
