day off work today and its £3.50 day at the cinema...so saw Green zone and Alice In W.

Green ZOne is worth watching Matt Damon well on form, and a well thought out good paced action film, that has a real dig at the US reason for the 1st Iraq war....really enjoyed it.

I have no doubts about the deep, never thought of before, political insights of Bourne Identity 4

I am seeing that on Friday is i can make it, the trailer looks fab and i have heard a lot good stuff about it.

Shame you get people still calling it Bourne 4 still though, even if it is a joke.

I saw it a couple of days ago too, and I really liked it. It wasn't an epic movie, but I did enjoy watching it. I thought it was great seeing how it was/is for the soldiers in Iraq too, because it puts things in a different view.

Besides, I might join the military next year, so it's fun watching what I might do then :) (not that I'm going to Iraq or Afghanistan x) )

Conditional joining of the military?

Yes. But some friends have already been called in, and I haven't so it's not sure I'm going. They'll only call in one fourth. If I do however get the call I will most likely be sent up to the Russian border as a border guard.

I didn't like it. The rapid camera pans, where it all goes blurry to create that documentary feel, was very annoying in a cinema. It probably won't be an issue on DVD, but on a big screen, it was eye-watering. I also felt the tension was lacking. Most of the film has him looking for WMDs all over the place. We all know he won't find any, so I just kept thinking 'Ok, get on with the next bit'.

Some of the action was good, but not as good as Bourne or many others. I did get a sense of how scary it must be to be in hostile streets at night though.

I didn't find the camera panning a problem at all, and i think the tension was fairly good throughout. The street battles though i can say from experience are definately like that, very fast paced and can be at times quite worrying, been there enough times to know. :smt002

Why though do people complain on the WMD scenes when you know whats his job?

Also the action wasn't meant to be anything like Bourne, as it is based on a book called "Imperial Life in the Emerald City" that follows the civilian leadership of the reconstruction of the country. The only way the film was going to get the backing was if they added the action.
