A suggestion:

I haven't used this new-fangled Book Swap system, but everyone here who has used it so far seems quite happy to trust one another with swapping and sending, etc. I can personally vouch for Conn and Vimes, though, so I know that the system is fairly sound.

But now that this thread is starting to fill up, it's likely to get confusing as more people add their own lists and it's difficult to find the book (or even the list) that you want. Perhaps it deserves to have its own forum in the board index here? If nothing else, it'd be a damn good symbol of how trustworthy our community here has become - and of course it makes the swapping a little more practical.

What do you lot think?

Lawrence

Yep sounds good.

Revan, your books are finally on their way. Sorry it took so long, had to wait for Wolf of the Plains to be delivered yet. :)

I'Ve got another one, too. I finally found a HC copy, so I don't need "Field of Swords" by Conn Iggulden anymore.

Either that or kindly ask nothing to be posted in this thread except for lists and a short spiel about the contents?

Lists can be kept updated by editing, and people can obviously communicate by pm?

THE LISTS. Make a list of any books you have to swap in this thread. If you wish to update your list do so by editing your post rather than making a new one. This should keep the list thread small and tidy. If you wish to inform people that you have updated your list do so on the other thread.

You mean such as this from the very first post of this thread. CAn i suggest one of the two mods goes back and removes any unwanted posts from here. Including this one.

Ok so I found some books to swap, I know I'm still a new member but I hold no objection to sending these out first and paying for my own postage back (living in NZ and all)

None of these need be returned to me:

Dean Koontz The Darkest Evening of the Year
Jojo Moyes Sheltering Rain
Johanna Lindsey Man of My Dreams
Alan Durant Sports Stories (kids book)
Jane Moore The Second Wives Club
Robert C. O'Brien Mrs Frisby and the Rats of NIMH (kids book)
Jane Elizabeth Varley Wives & Lovers
Zoe Barnes Wedding Belles
Lynda LaPlante Cold Heart

Also just found:
Jeffrey Archer First Among Equals
John Grisham The Firm
Isabel Allende Daughter of Fortune
Irwin Shaw Bread Upon the Waters

I also have Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows that I'd possibly want back. They're both from the first batches that came out in NZ.
I also might have a large version of Bones of the Hills that I accidently ordered I might be keen to swap. But I'll wait and see
