Script check.
Option Taken up. Check.

That's all I know so far, really. Seems a bit brief when I put it like that, though the second one is a major stage.

This is good news. !!!

It was Aug 2004 ? when you confirmed that it was on the cards and a screen play was being prepared. It sounds like a long time has passed, but it will be impressive when it is complete.

so...... errrrm..... what do we need to do to scoop premiere tickets :smt002

I agree with a fair few of your actors there, although its quite difficult picking the right age group- due to Caesar being a boy in the first book and a man in the last.... how old do you make the actor etc...

I am eagerly anticipating this film, i watched the BBC rome series which i thought was brilliant but a well done film could be amazing. As one of my History modules at university we are doing 'representing the past in film' so this topic could do well for my research!

As for the cast i'm not sure, although some good ones have been previously mentioned... Any more updates Conn?

If you mention 'anybody really old' on this forum, thoughts immediately turn to me, Casper. Don't worry about it.

Any movie with James Gandolfini becomes insta-fail. Just my opinion.

Boogra probably doesn't like:

True Romance
Crimson Tide
8 MM
12 Angry Men

Yes?

Get Shorty! That had Gandolfini in it and it was a brilliant flick.

Hi Conn,

First I would like to say that I have very much enjoyed all of your books on both Caesar and Ghengis and would like to thank you for writing such great novels and look forward to reading more!

My thoughts about the film idea is that you should definitely get in touch with Peter Jacksons people and make this happen! You are depriving a lot of people in this world of and incredible story if you weren't to do so and Jackson is clearly the man to do it justice.

There hasn't really been a brilliant historical war fiction film out since the Gladiator, everything else being Hollywood cheese. I really do believe you could make an outstanding trilogy out of Emperor and I would love to help in anyway that I can

Please write back, would be great to hear from you.

Henry.

In fact, 'Tanus' comes from the Latin for 'coffin-dodger'.

You forgot a major character: Cicero!

Perhaps the actor who played Dumbledore could do Cicero.
